Notes

Tracks 1 and 2 had originally been released on the Fire Of Love single under Juno Reactor's other alias Jungle High in 1993. Tracks were named Fire Of Love (Samurai Mix) and Fire Of Love (Total Eclipse Mix) respectively.

Tracks 3 and 4 were released earlier the same year on the Conga Fury CD single.

Track 5 had originally been released on the 12" God's Eye by The Overlords in 1994. It was named The 7th Stage (Labyrinth Mix). Here it is about 30 seconds shorter. The same track had also appeared on the compilation Sound Of Gaia Party in 1995 named Inédit Spécial Gaia.

Released in a standard jewel case sleeve.

  • The cool Samurai single. More than a single, we can call it a mini-album since it’s 36 minutes long, and also comes in a standard jewel case rather than in a slim-case like most CD singles come in.CD starts with the wonderful Samurai. An almost progressive, smoothly flowing trance track spiced with an oriental touch and with the vocals “ana ta wa...tai-yo” meaning “you are…the sun” in Japanese.Next comes a Total Eclipse remix of this track. Totally different from original, sounds something in the lines of the Total Eclipse first album Delta Aquarids. Gone are the oriental sounds on this remix.Following is a marvellous Koxbox remix of what probably is my fav’ Juno Reactor track. It’s completely different from original, in-fact it’s pure Koxbox sound. The only similar part is when in the middle comes the main melody of the original, yet twisted to Koxbox’s parameters :o) If you heard the 1995 Forever After album by Koxbox, this track is that sounding.Track 4 (Magnetic) is found on their third album Beyond The Infinite. The original has a wonderful guitar sample, however Robert Leiner has left it out here. This track is in-fact very similarly sounding to (say) his track Synaesthesia. Not very much of a trancey nature I’d say but still nice, hypnotic and dreamy.Single concludes with one of the biggest (musical) surprises I ever had in my life. As soon as Labyrinth starts I recognised it as a track I had on the first goa-cassette I had – in July 1994! It was a mixed and untitled unofficial tape. Later I learnt that this is one of the first remixes Juno Reactor made. This is a very powerful, hypnotic trance track very similar to (say) Mars or Guardian Angel in style. All in all a very good release which I highly recommend, also because it's still very easily available.
